Getting to the Heart of the Matter: A Guide to the New Moon in Leo and the Astrology of the Lunar Cycle from August 14th-September 12th

This month’s new moon happens a day before Venus (currently retrograde) makes a conjunction to the sun in Leo. This is a very important moment in the Venus retrograde cycle that aims to help us get to the core of our relationship issues. Whether that be about our relationship to another person, our work, our friends or our life in general it matters not. All life is relationship and Venus’s job is to help us see how we might be in need of healing what we are not yet in right relationship with.

Both events, Venus conjunct the sun and the new moon in Leo, are beginnings of cycles. Both events have an impact on the way we are currently learning to relate to and work with all matters of the heart. It’s a time of deep reflection on our part to clear up our historic messes in love, to help ourselves move on from the relationship dynamics that have hindered our ability to create meaningful, loving partnerships and to move towards more fulfilling and reciprocal situations.
