Clarify where the hustle ends and you begin. If you keep saying yes to invites or extra projects, rein in your people-pleasing impulses. Interrogate the idea that your value depends on your achievements or on other people’s validation. It’s okay to ask for a deadline extension, to take a break, and to turn off your email notifications after hours. The world needs you, but you get to set the terms that allow you to sustain your energy.

Don’t stress if your life’s path isn’t feeling obvious now. Maybe you’re questioning your ambitions, or maybe the idea of putting yourself out there is giving you the ick. It happens. Give yourself some grace. Take an extra-long lunch break and daydream by an open window. Journal about how your goals are shifting. Or rain-check a public appearance you just don’t have the energy for. Let go of the notion that you need to be “on” all the time.

You’re allowed to switch on “do not disturb” mode. The Earth won’t stop spinning if you leave your messages on read. Even if you have only a few minutes for R & R, use them as intentionally as possible. Imagine scrubbing off all the stressful, annoying moments that have built up and letting the gunk of the day fall down the shower drain. Your solo time doesn’t need to be perfect. Just do what you can to protect your peace.
